DESIGN YOUR IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Step 2 - Design your Home Irrigation System

We can do the full design for you. If you want to understand the process we follow we have all the information here. Down load the tutorial. You may want to have a go yourself. We are still here to assist. To complete the design we need the Flow and Pressure information from Step 1 and a diagram of your home.

When we design we aim to have the minimum distances from the manifold to each head (See diagram).

We also place heads so there is head-to-head flows to ensure even coverage (see diagram). Some cheaper designs cut back on heads but do not achieve this.

You need to include the following on the drawing:

1. Some dimensions so we can measure distances.

2. Which areas of lawn and what gardens you want watered.

3. Where the tap outlet will be to connect the irrigation manifold.

4. Where the 240V supply is (preferably adjacent to the tap).

5. If you want to remotely operate the system (with a Hydrawise controller) you will need a good wifi signal at the tap
